PROGRAM
V4 SUMMER SCHOOL
IN QUANTUM INFORMATION
21-27 September 2009, Budmerice, Slovakia
About the school:
Since the discoveries of quantum key distribution, quantum teleportation and quantum Shor algorithm the so-called Quantum Information Theory evolved into an independent research topic covering many different subjects from experimental quantum optics to highly abstract quantum measurement theory and intepretation. The school will consist of 5 series of lectures:
Konrad Banaszek: Quantum Optics (Mikolaja Kopernik University, Torun PL) Sylabus
Jan Bouda: Quantum Cryptography (Masaryk University, Brno CZ) Sylabus
Teiko Heinosaari: Quantum measurements (Niels Bohr Institute, Kobenhavn DK) Sylabus
Denes Petz: Quantum statistics (Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Budapest HU) Sylabus
Peter Stano: Semiconductor quantum dots (Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava SK) Sylabus
Deadlines:
Accommodation:
All participants will be accommodated in Budmerice castle and belonging facilities (address: Domov slovenskych spisovatelov, Kastiel, 90086 Budmerice, Slovakia, Tel.: ++421 33 6448289).
Conference Bus: A conference bus (from Bratislava) to and from Budmerice will be povided on the first and the last day of the conference. See travel info.
